Dear Mach Community,
After reviewing the results of our community poll and discussing our options for the Mach Conference, we have made the difficult decision to move the 2022 Mach Conference to a fully virtual format. While we recognize that a virtual conference is not ideal for all, the decision is motivated by our interest in the community’s health and safety, as well as the need to operate under Johns Hopkins University’s health and safety regulations for in-person events, which continue to significantly limit the nature of such gatherings. We sincerely hope to return the Mach Conference to an in-person format after 2022 when these regulations are relaxed.
In the mean time, we look forward to developing a great virtual conference program that provides the same engaging plenary sessions, mini-symposia, poster session, and networking opportunities that you have become accustomed to at the Mach Conference. In the coming weeks, we will be working toward defining the scientific program, broader schedule, and registration fees. We will be in touch with these details soon.
Thank you for your continued support of our Mach Conference community. We look forward to seeing you in April!
Thank you,
2022 Mach Conference Organizers
